Dr. Xianhuai Zhu (朱宪怀): Team Lead for Seismic Acquisition Research at ConocoPhillips since 2007. He received a B.S. in Geophysics from China University of Petroleum in 1977 and PhD in Geosciences from the University of Texas in 1990. He worked for a field crew in Jiangsu Oilfield for two years, and SINOPEC Research Institute in Nanjing for eight years. He was a visiting scholar at Cornell University in 1985-86. From 1991 to 1997 he was employed with Anadarko (Formerly Union Pacific Resources). In 1997-2002 he worked for PGS as Reservoir Imaging Manager. In 2003-2006 he joined Fusion Petroleum Technologies, where he was Vice President for reservoir services and China operations. He is a member of the SEG Research Committee and the Technical Program Committee, and served as President of Chinese American Petroleum Association (CAPA) in 2012. His paper on “Recent advances of Multicomponent Processing” received the Best TLE Paper Award from SEG in 1999. In 2012 he received the Reginald Fessenden Award from SEG in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of seismic tomography and tomostatics.
