Dr. Jianxiong Chen ( 陈剑雄 ): Technology geophysicist at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. In his current role, he manages vendor seismic processing/imaging projects, and analyzes geological and geophysical data for drilling and regional pore pressure prediction to support Anadarko’s domestic and worldwide oil and gas exploration and production. He graduated from Rice University in 2016 with a Ph.D. on geophysics, received his bachelor degree of science in geophysics in 2010 from the University of Science and Technology of China. Before joining Anadarko, he interned with Repsol-YPF (2011), Shell (2012), Schlumberger (2013), and Anadarko (2015), working on seismic imaging algorithm development, seismic interpretation techniques development, and deepwater exploration projects. He is an member of SEG, EAGE, and CAPA. He is currently an associate editor for Exploration Geophysics.
