Background
The energy industry has experienced "boom-and-bust" cycles many times since its inception about 150 years ago. In the last 12 months, we have witnessed a dramatic rise-and-fall in oil prices, reminiscent of the 1997-1999 cycle. Are we in this downturn for the long haul or only for a short but tough ride? What about all the calls for heavy investment in alternative energies, unconventional resources or simply expansion in business? Should these all go back to the drawing board or does the current depressed commodity price environment offer once in a lifetime "buy" opportunities for energy investors? What verticals along the energy value chain are currently the most attractive in this market environment? Which are the most risky? What implications will new U.S. energy policies have? Understandably, we have more questions than answers at this moment. Please come to our informative forum to listen to what the industry experts in business will say about the current and future business environment for the energy industry. We will have free style panel discussion following the seminars.
