Dear CAPA members:

You are sincerely invited to The Chinese American Petroleum Association (CAPA) annual meeting, which will be held on Saturday, 6:00 PM, January 20, 2007, in Kim Son Restaurant (address: 12750 Southwest Fwy, Stafford, TX 77477, Phone: (281) 242-3500)

 

The meeting is one of the most important events for CAPA members. The agenda of the meeting will include: CAPA 2006 Executive Committee (EC) Annual Report, CAPA Board of Director (BOD) Annual Report, CAPA Annual Financial Report, Election of new EC officers and BOD members.

 

There will also be a Q/A session dedicated to members so that you can have the opportunity to voice your concerns or opinions in regard to CAPA future directions and activities.  In addition, there will be several entertainment activities and a lot of prizes to be drawn during the meeting. And, of course, delicious Chinese food will be served.

 

This is a great opportunity for you to see old friends, make new ones, and have a good time. It is also the best opportunity to have your voice heard.

 

Everyone who wishes to attend the annual meeting needs to register online. It is free for permanent and active members. However, non-permanent members need to pay annual membership due for 2007 if you have not done so (see the previous announcement for details about how to set up your account and pay membership due online). Membership due date is January 15 each year. You can make payment online at CAPA website www.capaus.org) or send your personal check per instructions on the website when you register. The cost for spouses and student members to attend the annual meeting is $10 per person.  Non-members are also welcome, and the cost is $30 per person. Non-members are welcome to join CAPA (apply online at www.capaus.org) and then attend the meeting free of charge (if annual membership payment is received prior to the meeting).

 

The deadline for online registration is Jan. 15, 2007. Your online registration is valid only if the annual membership due (if required) is paid before the deadline. Once you complete your registration online, you will receive a conformation receipt through email. When you attend the annual meeting, please take the confirmation receipt with you and find your name tag(s) at the onsite registration desk.  

 

Onsite registration is also available. Members have the option of paying their dues onsite either by cash or personal check.
